Meridian collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Calendar Account Credentials: OAuth tokens for Google and Microsoft Outlook accounts, stored securely in Android SharedPreferences.
• ICS Calendar URLs: URLs of subscribed ICS/webcal calendars.
• Calendar Events: Cached temporarily for faster loading.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Display your calendar events from connected accounts
• Provide navigation to event locations
• Read event details aloud via text-to-speech

3. Third-Party Services

Meridian connects to the following third-party services using your credentials:

• Google Calendar API: To read events from your Google Calendar
• Microsoft Graph API: To read events from your Outlook Calendar
• ICS Calendar Servers: To fetch events from subscribed calendar URLs

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

To authenticate your Google account, Meridian uses a backend service hosted at meridian-app.nu. This service facilitates the OAuth flow between your device and Google. It does not store your calendar data.

4. Data Storage

All calendar data is stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage mechanisms. We do not operate servers that store your personal calendar data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your calendar data stays on your device and is only transmitted to the calendar services you have connected.

6. Permissions

Meridian requests the following Android permissions:

• READ_CALENDAR / WRITE_CALENDAR: To access events on your device's local calendar
• INTERNET: To sync with Google, Outlook, and ICS calendar services

7. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you:

• Disconnect a calendar account in the app settings
• Clear the app's data
• Uninstall the app

8. Children's Privacy

Meridian is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
